Binance adds AbbVie, Indonesia ETF to 20x leveraged futures

Binance has added four perpetual futures contracts tied to traditional financial assets, giving eligible traders round-the-clock exposure to an Indonesia-focused ETF and shares of EQT, STMicroelectronics and AbbVie with leverage of up to 20 times.

    Summary

    • Binance listed four TradFi perpetual contracts covering an Indonesia ETF and three individual stocks.
    • Each contract supports continuous trading, USDT settlement and maximum leverage of 20x.
    • Funding payments occur every eight hours, with rates capped at plus or minus 2%.
    • Industry data shows growing demand for derivatives tied to traditional financial assets.

According to its October 26 official announcement, Binance Futures introduced the USDT-margined contracts between 09:00 and 09:15 UTC, listing EIDOUSDT, EQTUSDT, STMUSDT and ABBVUSDT at five-minute intervals.

The additions allow traders to speculate on price movements across four established securities without purchasing the underlying shares. Each contract settles in Tether’s USDT stablecoin and remains available outside conventional stock exchange hours.

Binance expands stock perpetuals across four markets

The first contract, EIDOUSDT, references the iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF, which trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker EIDO.

The fund provides exposure to Indonesian equities, allowing the new perpetual contract to track a country-focused investment product within Binance’s derivatives platform.

    New TradFi perps are listed.

Trade the following contract on Binance Futures:

🔸 iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF (EIDO)
    🔸 EQT Corporation (EQT)
    🔸 STMicroelectronics NV (STM)
    🔸 AbbVie Inc. (ABBV)

Available 24/7, up to 20x leverage.

EQTUSDT follows EQT Corporation, a U.S. natural gas producer listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The contract gives traders exposure to movements in the company’s share price without requiring ownership of its stock.

For the semiconductor sector, Binance introduced STMUSDT, referencing STMicroelectronics, whose shares trade on the NYSE under STM.

The final listing, ABBVUSDT, tracks AbbVie, the U.S. pharmaceutical company listed under the ticker ABBV. Its inclusion adds a healthcare-related instrument to the exchange’s stock-linked derivatives offering.

All four contracts have a minimum notional trade value of 5 USDT, with minimum order sizes of 0.01 units of their respective underlying instruments.

Binance specified a tick size of 0.01 for each product and confirmed that Multi-Assets Mode would be supported.

New Binance contracts offer 24-hour leveraged trading

Under the published specifications, each contract allows leverage of up to 20x and operates continuously, including weekends when the underlying U.S. securities exchanges are closed.

Unlike conventional futures, perpetual contracts have no scheduled expiration date. Traders maintain positions subject to margin requirements, funding payments and the exchange’s trading rules.

Binance set funding fee settlements at eight-hour intervals for the four additions, with funding rates capped at positive or negative 2%.

The exchange said these contracts would remain exempt from its usual automatic adjustment of funding intervals when rates reach their upper or lower limits.

A separate announcement would be required before Binance changes funding settlements from eight-hour intervals to hourly payments.

At maximum leverage, a 5% adverse price movement can theoretically exhaust initial margin before fees and maintenance margin requirements are considered. Actual liquidation prices depend on the exchange’s applicable rules and position characteristics.

Binance retains authority to revise leverage, margin requirements and other trading parameters under its exchange and clearing procedures.

Access remains subject to regional restrictions, and the announcement does not establish that all Binance customers can trade the new products.

TradFi perpetuals gain ground across crypto exchanges

The October listings follow several additions to Binance’s traditional-asset derivatives lineup during 2026.

In August, the exchange introduced five stock-linked contracts, covering Trump Media, Moderna and three semiconductor-focused leveraged ETFs. Each offered continuous trading with maximum leverage of 20x.

Binance previously introduced perpetual contracts referencing the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF and long-duration U.S. Treasury funds, as crypto.news reported in July.

The expanding product range coincides with higher trading activity across derivatives linked to stocks, commodities and market indexes.

CryptoQuant reported growing TradFi perpetual open interest in July, with outstanding positions exceeding $2 billion across major centralized exchanges.

Its estimates placed Binance’s share at approximately $720 million, ahead of Bybit and Gate, which each held around $381 million at the time.

More recent figures published by Pyth Network show that tracked real-world-asset perpetual markets reached record daily open interest of $12.61 billion on September 30, compared with an August daily average of $10.45 billion.

The same report estimated September trading volume at $637.85 billion across its tracked market, with equities accounting for 49.2% of activity and commodities representing 31.4%.

What remains unclear about Binance’s TradFi derivatives?

Despite the additional listings, Binance’s October 26 announcement did not disclose the exchange’s current trading volume or open interest specifically attributable to its TradFi perpetual contracts.

The notice identified Binance RIE as the trading venue and Binance RCH as the clearing entity, referencing exchange rules governing contract admission and settlement.

It was issued under Rules 75 and 89 of the Exchange Rules and Rule 76.6 of the Clearing Rules. Binance stated that its clearing entity may change maximum leverage and margin requirements according to the applicable procedures.
