London, United Kingdom–(Newsfile Corp. – April 2, 2026) – Lithosphere has officially activated its Makalu Testnet, introducing a new infrastructure layer designed to support AI-native blockchain systems and autonomous digital coordination. The release represents a foundational step toward enabling intelligent execution directly within decentralized environments, where applications, agents, and systems operate beyond traditional transaction-based models.

At the center of Makalu is Lithic, an AI-native smart contract language that allows intelligent computation to be executed, governed, and verified on-chain. Unlike conventional smart contract frameworks that rely on external AI services, Lithic enables structured execution lifecycles where AI processes are defined as part of the protocol itself. This allows decentralized applications to incorporate decision-making, adaptive logic, and verifiable outcomes within a deterministic framework.

Makalu also introduces an agent-based infrastructure model, where autonomous systems act as active participants within the network. These agents are capable of executing tasks, coordinating across systems, and interacting with one another in real time. This creates the foundation for machine-to-machine interaction within decentralized ecosystems, enabling a new class of applications built on continuous, intelligent execution rather than isolated transactions.

To support seamless interaction across blockchain environments, Lithosphere integrates MultX, a protocol-level interoperability engine that enables cross-chain coordination and unified execution. MultX allows systems to access liquidity, data, and execution environments across multiple networks without fragmentation, supporting the development of applications that operate across chains as a single coordinated system.

In addition, the Makalu Testnet includes DNNS, a decentralized naming and identity layer that enables programmable identity for users, applications, and AI agents. DNNS supports on-chain routing and persistent identity across networks, providing the structure required for reliable interaction in environments where intelligent systems operate autonomously.

The infrastructure is further supported by the LEP100 standards framework, which defines how AI interacts with decentralized systems through structured execution models, cost governance, and cryptographic verification. These standards ensure consistency, interoperability, and verifiable operation across the Lithosphere ecosystem, enabling developers to build applications that align with a unified protocol architecture.

“Makalu represents the transition toward infrastructure designed for intelligent systems, not just transactions,” said J. King Kasr, Chief Scientist at KaJ Labs. “By integrating AI execution, identity, and cross-chain coordination at the protocol level, we are establishing the foundation for decentralized systems that can operate autonomously and at scale.”

The launch of the Makalu Testnet positions Lithosphere as a foundational layer for emerging Web4 systems, where intelligence becomes a native component of decentralized infrastructure. By combining AI execution, agent-based interaction, and interoperable architecture, Lithosphere enables a new generation of applications capable of coordinating complex processes across networks while maintaining transparency and governance.
